Job Description
BASIC FUNCTIONS
The Development Outreach and Communications (DOC) team is an essential and indispensable part of the Front Office responsible for producing and disseminating public information about Mission activities for Ethiopian and U.S. consumption and for educating and promoting a better understanding of USAID/Ethiopia programs. Development Outreach and Communication Advisor primary purpose is to support the USAID/Ethiopia mission on a broad range of communication activities.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Qualifications required: A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience in public relations, public information and outreach or international development with at least 6 months of that experience in an international setting. A minimum of bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications or journalism, public relations or marketing, English, international relations, or related field. Qualified candidates will be evaluated based on education, experience, and demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities.
Salary Range: The salary range of the position is GS-13: $81,216 to $105,579 yearly, articulated in U.S. dollars.
Location of Work: USAID/US Embassy Entoto Road.
